The Living Fleece Flock are my small flock of rare and native breed sheep that range in age from 2 years old to 15 years old! They were mostly born and bred within the flock, or joined from my friends flocks and live on our small holding in North Yorkshire. When we started to farm and work with rare and native breed animals about 20 years ago, we bought a much bigger small holding and bred sheep and pigs for meat, organic rugs, and wool. Now as we age and creep towards retirement and starting to slow down, we have revaluated what we are doing and why ... our passion for rare breeds and the amazing quality of the sheep fleece has led us to working with our favourite sheep to create the Living Fleece (forever) Flock. Our passion for working with sheep, mixed with my other passion which is natural fibres, especially wool means our venture of 'The Living Fleece Flock' is one that we not only get to enjoy, but means we get to share our flock with others. Over the past few years we have been shipping our wool and rugs literally all over the world!
