They are called the 'Living Fleece Flock' as they are a non-kill flock.

They will all live their days out on the smallholding and will pass naturally from old age.

Luxurious living rugs 

Our 'Living Rugs' are 100% cruelty free! The rugs are from living animals and are hand felted on the underside rather than being made from the skin of the animals. All rugs come with the full story of the sheep, and all rugs help to pay for the feed costs of the sheep.

We sell DK, Aran and Chunky weight wool for your projects. We also work with another knitting shepherd who can knit one off pieces like jumpers etc, so please enquire.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you source your wool from?

We source our wool from our own rare breed sheep, ensuring the highest standard of quality. Some times I buy in wool from friends flock but I only buy from high welfare, rare breeds to help support their flocks. 

Do you offer custom orders?
Yes, we are happy to discuss custom orders to meet your specific needs.

How do you ensure the quality of your products?
We carefully handcraft and inspect each product to guarantee the highest quality and craftsmanship.

Do you use chemicals on the fleece?

We do not use chemicals on the fleece before the sheep is sheared. Once the sheep are sheared, we do apply fly strike spray but it is totally worn off the fleece by the time the sheep has been sheared. 

Where do the sheep horns come from?

Sometimes we have to cut the sheep horns as they are starting to grow back into the sheeps face, and it is not safe or could become painful if left to grow like this. Removing them does not hurt the sheep. It just like having your nails cut. These are then made into key rings. 

Who makes the Living Rugs and Peg Loom Rugs

These are all made by hand by the Shepherd, thats why we can tell you the name of every sheep involved! 

Do you offer discount for bulk wool orders

Yes we do! for orders of 10 balls of wool or more, please get in touch before ordering and we will arrange a discount
